Happy Valentine's Day - With love from Paris

I wanted to surprise you for Valentine's Day but didn't know if you would prefer chocolate...

or roses...

or bread from Poilâne that says "I love you" in French...

or some sexy lingerie that's so hot that they had to call the firemen...

or a necklace...

or a necklace with a tiara...

or a message on an official signboard.

Happy Valentine's Day - with love from Paris!

And if you're still looking for more romance, please click here to take a look at Ella Coquine's Valentine's Day post. It's magical!

When I enlarged the following photo, I noticed that the woman is looking at the ring on her left hand. Was this a wedding proposal at Place Vendôme at 12:14 pm today?!?

  1. Miam...I'll take les pompiers, svp!

Did you really capture an engagement?! Amazing! I like how she's looking at it mid-hug. Such a chick thing to do!

Also, thank you for linking my V Day creation! I'm glad everyone is enjoying it as much as we did taking them!

    1. Ha! Did you know that you can train with the pompiers in the summer?!

Catching that post-engagement hug was quite a surprise! It's always fun to upload my photos when I get home because I'm never quite sure what I'll discover.

Linking to your V-Day creation was my pleasure - it's one of those things that you want to share with everyone!

    1. I know! - How did we miss it in person when we were standing there!? Oh, right - you had your back to them so that I could take the photo without them seeing me! Thanks for your help! :)

    1. Looks like I suggested the wrong present for you, Anne. ;) Next time I'll ask the firemen to turn around so that I get a better shot!

    1. Judging by the response to the firemen, it seems as if I'll have to feature them in a future post! I was obviously way off with the lingerie.

  9. Love the necklace (diamonds are a girl's best friend, after all;))

    1. I had a great time window shopping at the Place Vendome. It must be quite an experience cross the threshold and actually buy something. And who do you suppose wears a tiara?!

    1. nycboy did a pretty amazing job with your proposal! I still remember being wowed by the photo.

I regret not buying any of the Poilane bread because it's every bit as delicious as it looks.

  11. I'd like to tell you that there was (a proposal) in the gardens of Notre Dame Cathedral at 5.30(ish) on that very day.....because that's when my (now) fiance proposed! I said yes of course....then spent so long looking at my hand in a similar fashion that diners all around us all night kept congratulating us!
Apologies that i've only just spotted this post and got a little giddy.
Paris is even more special to us now. :)

One day soon I might blog about the day - maybe next valentines.
