  1. I was just discussing with a friend how much I dislike jellyfish and nettles. And these photos just confirm that. Yes, they're "beautiful" but creepy too. And my fear of being stung by one is always on my mind. Avoid water.

    1. Even though jellyfish and nettles scare me when I'm snorkeling or walking on the beach, I was captivated by the ones in the aquarium. The way that they move is fascinating - I ended up watching them much longer than anything else, even the adorable penguins. One of the information boards said that the numbers of jellyfish are increasing because we've overfished their natural predators.

I thought about your recent trip to Mexico when I read another info board about sea turtles. You were so fortunate to have had that experience!

  2. Jellyfish are such otherworldly creatures, aren't they? Beautiful photos.

Love "The Little Mermaid." That brings back nice childhood memories. :)

    1. They really are otherworldly - I can't imagine what it must be like for them to drag their long tentacles along behind them. I kept thinking that they would get tangled up with another sea nettle but it didn't happen.

Little Mermaid brought back some good memories for me, too. I'm happy you liked it! :)

    1. Have you ever been to the aquarium in Paris? I'm going to have to see how it compares with the one in Boston.
