Sunday's Picture and a Song: Dancing for Days on the Set of "Three Days to Kill"

Celebrating Kevin Costner's birthday on Friday. Since we were asked not to take any pictures while on the set, I completely missed this photo op because I left my camera at home. I was pleased, however, to find this picture on Twitter because it also shows the back of my daughter's head! Photo credit: @MonthezinRobin

My feet are killing me and my body aches, but I'm a happy woman. Working as an extra in the new Kevin Costner movie, "Three Days to Kill", was an amazing experience. I'll write a full post about it tomorrow, but in the meantime, here's the song that we were dancing to for the past three days on the set. I didn't know any of the words before last Thursday, but I sure do now!

On a completely different subject:

It's snowing in Paris! Please click here if you would like to see some photos taken from our balcony. Now that I've traded in my high heels and cocktail dress for boots and a warm coat, I'm going to venture outside to take some more pictures of the city while it's blanketed in white.

  1. Your view is almost as good as Kevin's!...or was that his friend's penthouse? Suppose we'll have to wait for the film to come out to find out. Looking forward to spotting you in the crowd. Bravo for taking the plunge!

    1. Bravo to you for taking the plunge, too! It was quite an experience. We'll have to get together to watch the movie so that we'll finally know why we were dancing for days in that amazing penthouse...or was it a club?!?

  2. I hope you were dancing like Rihanna! She's got the moves. And Mr Costner is looking good.

Can't wait to hear about your time in front of the camera. "Mr DeMille, I'm ready for my closeup."

    1. I don't know what "it" is ... but whatever it is, Mr. Costner has it! Everyone agreed that he's a handsome man with an intense sort of charisma.

There were some good dancers who were moving like Rihanna...but I'm sorry to say that I wasn't one of them!

  5. So glad your debut on the silver screen was a smashing success! And loved the pics of Paris in the snow. It seems to be the only way I see snow in Paris!

    1. Smashing - yes. Success - let's wait and see! But in any case, it was lots of fun.

Here's hoping that it will snow when you're back in Paris. After all, I think that we're supposed to sample some hot chocolate this year, aren't we?!

  7. Can't wait to hear all about it. Love your view. We just got out of Paris in time. After the heavy snow on Friday night, we had only a 20 minute delay yesterday, but my friend who was leaving today got delayed for 5 hours.

So many photo opportunities. I have never seen snow like this in Paris before!

    Love Denise.

    1. I'm happy that you were able to travel home without any problems, Denise. We tried to get a taxi to go to dinner last night and were told that we wouldn't be able to book one before 10:30 this morning because they were all too busy! I also heard that quite a few of the Eurostars were cancelled today.

  10. Such fun stories, between the movie and the snow pics. A little trivia: Kevin Costner and I went to the same university, Calif. State Univ. Fullerton, at the same exact time, but I'll never know if our paths crossed--it was before he was famous! Looking to hearing more about your extra experience. I've always thought that would be fun.

    1. Thanks for sharing the insider's trivia about Kevin Costner. Too bad that I never had a chance to talk with him and ask about his days at Cal. State Univ Fullerton!

  11. You poor thing! You had to dance to that awful song for three days!! I had to dance to 50 Cent's 'In Da Club' for a week and like you with this Rhianna song, I know it by heart. Fortunately, I like "Fitty". Hahahah too funny! Can't wait for your recap!!!

    1. Please tell me that you've been able to erase 50 Cent's "In Da Club" from your mind. I want to know that there's some hope for me because I keep singing Rihanna's song and another one that we listened to, "I'm Sexy and I Know It, uh huh, uh huh"!

  12. Great pictures! If you want to learn a variety of dances, like salsa, Jive at different levels then start now, "I'm Sexy and I Know It, uh huh, uh huh"! is good by those LMFAO guys.
